Friends visiting
Our good friend Sam Amidon
is comming to Copenhagen and will play a show here on thursday 10th at Huset i Magstræde.
The plan was that he would play together with us at our show the same evenning, but since this was
all done last minute it wasn't possible.
Instead we now suggest you go see sam at 8, relax a little bit and then come over to
Lades and see our show at 10.30

Back home in Denmark.
We are back home in Copenhagen again, taking showers regularly, eating less deep fried food,
enjoying the lovely danish summer weather (rain) and relaxing again.
We had a great tour and really loved playing a lot of shows and hanging out with our friends in Efterklang.
We would really like to thank all of you who came to our shows and we hope to be back soon again:)

Canada is nice!
We have just played our first show in Canada.
We played in Montreal tonight and had a great time. We have slowly been making our way from
the west coast and the south of USA. We were close to melting down south and are happy to be at a more apropriate
climate for us scandinavians.
We are leaving for Toronto soon and are getting close to the end of the tour:(

US Tour :-)
We are now a week into our danish dynamite US tour together with Efterklang.
We played in San Fransisco yesterday and we had a great time. It was a nice venue, very nice music and very
very nice people!
We are slowly geting used to our big tour bus that is

News Part 1 (US Tour)
We are very glad to announce the dates for our upcomming US tour!
It starts on May 6 and goes on for a month. We are doing the tour together with our good friends and makers of wonderful music Efterklang. We have decided to name the tour "The Danish Dynamite Tour"
and we are shure that's exatly what it will be! So check out the dates and come see us if you can.

News Part 2 (all the old stuff)
Here is a little resume of what we have been doing the last months:
First of all we had a great trip to SXSW made some new friends and met some of our favorite old friends:)
We played some shows on our own and we played along with Akron Family at their show in Emo's. It was the most fun,
chaotic and sweaty experience we've tried in a long time. You can see a clip on you tube here
. We also did a
take away show with Vincent Moon. He filmed us as we drove around on the back of a pick up truck and played songs. We had so much fun
and all got a pretty bad sun burn.
We have also been mixing and finishing some new songs that we recorded earlier this year that will become
a small EP!
And last of all we have played some shows in Denmark and Belgium that were a lot of fun.

SXSW
We have started 2008 with recording some new songs and working in the studio but now it's time to
go outside and play some shows again!
This friday we will play a show here in Copenhagen together with the very talented Peter Broderick.
The concert is in Cafe Kino and starts at 9pm.
And in two weeks we are going back to the crazy but nice festival South by Southwest in Austin Texas to play
some shows with some of our label mates from hometapes and hopefully enjoy the nice wether.

2007
So now 2007 is almost over and it has been a very good year in Slaraffenland. We released "Private Cinema" and got to
play more shows than we've ever played before in a lot of places that we have never been before! We also got to play
at Roskilde festival and a bunch of shows with our good friends in Efterklang.
Over all we have had a blast and are looking forward to 2008 and playing more shows and starting to record new songs
for our next album.

Back home again.
We are back home in Copenhagen again and have a few days to relax.
We've had a great time in US and loved playing a lot of shows and meeting a lot of wonderful people.
It was great fun playing the Hometapes showcase at CMJ festival, and listening to the other great bands playing.
We are playing two shows in Norway next and then taking a few days of before playing some shows in Denmark
with Efterklang.
3 Oct. 2007:
We like the west coast!
We have now played our first shows on the west coast and we liked it a lot! We got to meet some really really nice people
and also had time to take a swim in the Pacific.

We are now on our way to Ames and are looking forward to playing some more concerts.

US Tour has started
We're back in the US and started our tour yesterday in Denver Colorado at Larimer Lounge. It was a nice evening

OK Computer Tribute
We're back from all the mud at Rockslide Festival, we really enjoyed playing for all the happy,
nice and mud covered people who came to hear us!
Today's BIG news is that the Acclaimed music blog Stereogum.com has released
an OK Computer covers compilation, in celebration of the now classic Radiohead album's 10th anniversary.
We have been so lucky to be a part of this excellent lineup of artists (Cold War Kids, Mobius Band, The Twilight Sad,
Marissa Nadler a. o.). We have made our own version of "Paranoid Android" witch was a bit intimidating but

Thank you Paul!
We have had a great week Playing with Paul Duncan and learning his music. It's a bit sad that he
has gone back to NY again, but it was fun while it lasted!

New Concerts
Slaraffenland has just been announced as part of this years Roskilde Festival.
The festival will take place at July 5th-8th 2007. We are very exited about
that but also for the other festivals and concerts we are playing this summer.
Right now how ever, we are focusing on our concert next saturday at Huset in Copenhagen.
Our good friend and label-mate Paul Duncan are comming over from New York and will be playing
some of his amazing songs! The show starts at 9pm so don't miss it!!

The release date for our new album "Private Cinema" is postponed a bit.
The new release date is June 25th for Europe and June 26th for the rest of the world.
The release date for digital downloads is however unchanged: May 14th for Europe and May 15th for the rest of the world.

New/old song..
okay, so we've been in the studio again just recording a new edition of the former released tune Me as a Monster.
Jeppe has been in New York so the tune is done in his absence, but we managed. The song is going to be an special treat
for those who buy "Private Cinema" on itunes.
Make marks in your calendars that we are playing the 26th in denmark @ huset i Magstræde, this will be a concert
in the Rumraket spirit! So please come and make the show even better. We will do what we can to nurse your ears!

Back in Copenhagen.
So now we are back home in Copenhagen which is nice. Brittish Airways managed to loose half of our gear on
the way back but it all turned up after a few days..
We had such a great time in US and and can't wait to come back soon again. We would like to say a big thank
you to Home Tapes, all there artists and our good friends in American Princes who helped us so much by
lending us their gear!
Other news good news are that Pitch fork has posted our song "Watch Out" on their forkcast so go here and check it out!
We also managed to get in on 3rd place at the Danish radio show "Det Elektriske Barometer" where you can vote for our song
"Polaroids". So if you haven't voted please go here and do it so we can stay on the list
and be famous:-)

We are still in USA but are leaving for Denmark tomorrow. We have just found out that the danish radio show "Det Elekriske Barometer" is testing our song "Polaroids" this week on their list. So please go to there site and vote for us.

In the United States..
Hello all!
We are now in Boulder Colorado and are about to start our little tour down to Texas to play at South by Southwest.
We came in last night and Brittish Airways managed to los all of our luggage including our gear!! YES ALL OF IT!
So now we are hoping that they will arrive before our show tonight in Boulder or else we have no idea what to do...
But we are hoping for the best and are really looking forward to play some shows.

New record & SXSW
Our new record is comming! Release dates are May 14th for Denmark/Europe and May 15th for the rest of the world.
The record is called Private Cinema and will be released by Hometapes all over exept for
Scandinavia, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland and Austria where Private Cinema will be out through Rumraket.
We are so honoured to be a part of both these fantastic labels catalouges.
Artwork for Private Cinema will be by the famous graphic designers Friends With You.
Early sketches looks like it's going to be amazing! So hold you breath!
We are going to the US in March to play at the mighty

@ the venue Mohawk on the 14th of March. The showcase will also include performances by labelmates
